Cherry-red in colour, this wine has an aroma of vegetables intermingled with spices, of which cinnamon and nutmeg come through the strongest. A vibrant and explosive wine, it tastes fresh and has a balanced acidity. The grapes completed alcoholic fermentation and the wine was press by traditional treading (by foot). After that process, the wine was placed into old casks where the malolactic fermentation would occur. Aging was done in these same barrels for 20 months until the wine was ready for bottling.
